On this excursion, the "Valley Train" travels south past some of the area's farmlands, crossing Moat Brook and the Saco and Swift Rivers enroute to Conway, where you can watch the powerful locomotive "run-around" the train in preparation for the return trip. On our way back to the Cape we’ll travel the Kancamagus Scenic Byway.  Passing through the heart of the White Mountains while traversing the flank of Mt. Kancamagus and skirting the Kancamagus River the byway is filled with scenic areas and overlooks and is often referred to as having the best fall foliage in country.
