 “Hairspray” and Foxwoods Casino

Friday, January 2

It’s 1962, and pleasantly plump Baltimore teen Tracy Turnblad has only one desire – to dance on the popular Corny Collins Show.  When her dream comes true, Tracy is transformed from social outcast to sudden star, but she must use her newfound power to vanquish the reigning Teen Queen, win the affections of heart throb Link Larkin and integrate a TV network – all without denting her “do!”  You’ll enjoy the music and comedy of this classic show at the MGM Grand Theater.  We’ll spend a total of six hours at Foxwoods, including the show, and you’ll receive a $ 25 bonus package which includes a full buffet lunch (or $10 credit at any Foxwoods restaurant), $ 15 keno and entry into the King & Queen promotion.

$ 85

“Wicked” at Providence Performing Arts Center

Saturday, January 9

wickedBack by "Popular" Demand. The New York Times calls WICKED "Broadway's biggest blockbuster," and when it first played PPAC, it broke box office records and sold out in record time. Winner of 20 major awards, including a Grammy and three Tony Awards, WICKED is "a show that's got everything - catchy plot, soaring tunes from Stephen Schwartz, and some spectacular scenic effects from Tony-winning designer, Eugene Lee. But there are also layers of depth and subtlety, as the show takes on issues of diversity, political corruption and the vicissitudes of human nature. It's a show that questions good and evil, right and wrong, and looks at the gray areas in between.  You’ll LOVE this show, and we have great orchestra seating for the 2:00 PM performance at Providence Performing Arts Center, with free time before the show for lunch and shopping.

                                                                                                 $ 120
